19:30TRITRI Running
Wednesday at 7:30pm at the meadows (at the traffic lights beside the adventure park)
Details below – look forward to seeing you there! Oh – BTW, if you don’t know me you’ll prob see some other ERC’ers hanging about anyway but I’ll be the short one chick probably with a red down jacket (since it’s my warmest layer). You can leave bags, water bottles, car keys etc with me as I’ll be based at the same spot for the session.
RUNNING SESSION:
Coached running session aimed at triathletes/ duathletes and 10k / ½ marathon runners.
The sessions will be progressive over the winter through to spring / summer starting with aerobic work and technique building, moving onto strength, endurance and then to speed endurance and speed. The aim is that you gain a good base and pace judgement to then build your fitness and pace onto as you head into the main season.
Start time: 7:30pm (be warmed up ready to go)
Meeting Point: East End of the meadows (beside the new ‘adventure’ playground)
Cost: nothing for ERC athletes
Format:
Be fully warmed up by 7:30pm. We’ll start with some drills, and then work varying reps of 800m, kms or miles with relevant recoveries depending on the session. We’ll finish with a cool down jog and some stretching.
Your Coach:
If you don’t already know me, I’m Caroline Toshack. I’m a competitive age group duathlete who sometimes dabbles with the wet stuff too (i.e. triathlons!). I am the current European F35-39 Duathlon Champion. My full time job is as a personal trainer where my niche market is training new and improving runners. I am a Level 1 triathlon coach, undertaking my Level 2 in spring and Level 3 in Autumn next year. In a nutshell I am passionate about running, getting people running and then getting them running better and faster!
